Hi I’m Anita… …wife to Kelechi and mother of Jordan, Hannah-Rei and Malachi and if that wasn’t enough until just recently I was heading up the youth ministry at my local church which I did for 7 years. I was brought up in the church and gave my life to Christ at a very young age and really loved Jesus and wanted to do everything I could to serve him. I took on several leadership roles at a young age and loved life. When I was 18 I went away to university and out in the big wide world my Faith was just not strong enough to stand up to the bright lights and the temptations out there. I met a guy, and ended up getting pregnant…. However I knew that the life I was living was not what God wanted for me. There’s a scripture in Proverbs, which says.. Train up a child in the way, they should go and when they are old they will not depart….’ My parents had trained me up well and no matter how hard I ran I couldn’t get away from God calling me. I returned to God he forgave me and I worked hard to get back to having a great relationship with him. I began to minister again and God gave me a message to take to other young Christians who are also struggling with relationships. In 2006 I wrote a book “Why you Should Wait. by Someone who didn’t” to tell my testimony and also to help young people not to fall into the same trap of having sex before marriage, as I had. Today I see many Christian young people struggling with their walk with God just as I did when I went to University so along with my husband…(Oh yeah I got married 4 years later to my baby’s father after he also committed his life to God) we are working at helping young people to stay focussed on Christ, not to have their head turned by the world around them and to be passionate in their Christian service.
Hi, I’m Kelechi… …husband to Anita. People look at me now, Christian DJ, youth leader, etc etc and may think that I have always been on this ‘church ting’ from when I was a yoot! But the truth is, I am only here by the grace of God. I came to a relationship with Christ at the age of 19. By then I had got a girl pregnant, been to jail… you name it, I had done it. But God turned my life around and now I live my life using my God given gifts to spread the good news that a life in Christ is the best way, the only way to live. When God gave us the vision for the first Dare to be Different conference back in 2005, He gave me the design for the I DO NOT CONFORM t-shirt shortly after (I work as graphic & web designer for my 9-5). But it wasn’t until the summer of 2009 that we started the clothing line and the ministry website. We have started a movement and, buy His grace, we want to reach young people across the with the call of Romans 12:2
