So what’s been on my mind lately? It’s been the current obsession folks have with the mythical “illuminati” who supposedly secretly run the world and seek to use mind control through the media. Whether this is true or not isn’t my issue here. There are those who have spent more time delving into this than myself. I know you probably check their websites and watch their YouTube vids on the regular. :-D
According to the word it is true that this world system is under the power of the Evil One. Way before this illuminati/freemason hype the word has clearly said this (See 1 John 5:19, Ephesians 2:1-3 & 2 Cor 4:3&4) It is a fact that the we live in a media dominated world and many are just sheep following blindly and easily influenced by the dominant trend of ideas, finding it easier to go with popular opinion. It is true that many would prefer to conform than to stand out and be themselves. These facts are pretty obvious BUT sadly another trend that people have blindly bought into is this Dan Brown style conspiracy theory trend.

Have you ever felt down before? Have you ever felt like your weaknesses defeat you again and again? Have you felt like you are not living a victorious life even though deep in your heart you know that Christ defeated the devil, the grave, sin and everything thing that tried to hold him down not just for himself but FOR US? Well don't be dismayed! I know exactly how you feel.
Last year was probably the toughest year of my life but somehow I am still and I still believe! wow! I don't know how but somehow I am still here believing and moving on. You see the method of God getting us to win is a strange method. It's like he allows us to find out our weaknesses again and again and again to the point where we feel like giving up and throwing in the towel and then all of a sudden he steps in and we end up winning! God's way is to not at first to make you strong but it is for you to find out you are weak and that you cannot do it yourself! I guess that's why Paul wrote a strange thing in the second book of corinthians saying:
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weaknesses, most gladly will therefore will I glory in my weaknesses that the power of Christ may rest upon me" (2 Cor 12:9)
when I read that I kinda scratch my head because it could almost sound crazy that someone can glory in weaknesses! But I guess Paul understood that when he is weak, God has the chance to truly make him strong. This is not an easy lesson to learn because sometimes we don't really know how uncapable we are to really live the life God has called us to live in our own strength. I have failed miserably at living the life and sometimes I wanna just pack it all in but I find myself on my knees which is the highest and most powerful place to be. It is there you find out you're an overcomer, not by might or by power but simply by the Spirit of God. Grace is truly amazing.
God truly calls those which are not as though they are, I mean when I look at myself I look totally opposite of an overcomer sometimes.
It is from this point of view that I wrote this song called "overcomer"
